Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong or Korea: Choosing an Instagram Follower Package by Region
July 16, 2026

"Buying Instagram followers" covers two different jobs: a global package with no region, and a package targeted by region. A global package makes the follower count look good. But a Taiwan local Reel that won't break into nearby trending, a Hong Kong store opening where nobody replies in the comments, a Mainland private-traffic account whose profile looks like it doesn't know who it serves — a global package fixes none of these, because it never set out to answer whether the account serves that region. BuyIGFollowers offers only two geo lines: Mainland China/Taiwan/Hong Kong, and Korea. There is no USA line. This post explains which accounts each line suits and how to choose.
Note: Geo targeting addresses one signal problem — whether an account's audience and engagement look like they match the target region. It is not a substitute for content quality, pricing or conversion rate. Results vary with the account's baseline and content; rely on the product page. This site only offers the Mainland China/Taiwan/Hong Kong and Korea lines, and has no USA packages.
Two geo lines and the accounts each one suits
| Geo line | Typical use cases | The specific problem it addresses |
|---|---|---|
| Mainland China/Taiwan/Hong Kong | Cross-border e-commerce and private-traffic accounts (IG as the entry point, conversion on WeChat or Line); Hong Kong retail and travel retail building buzz for an opening; Taiwan local community marketing and Reels launches aiming for local trending | A profile that doesn't show which regional market it serves; Taiwan local posts with no trace of local engagement; Hong Kong openings or new arrivals with an empty comment section that makes it look like nobody cares |
| Korea | K-culture export and collab brands looking for Chinese or Korean partners; Seoul local stores and pop-ups building buzz before launch; creators on China–Korea collabs needing account credibility before taking deals | Partners finding no engagement data for the region when vetting the account; a Seoul launch with no sign of local following; a media kit with no Korean engagement record to show |
Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong: differences within one line
The Mainland China/Taiwan/Hong Kong line is not one-size-fits-all. Its three sub-scenarios want different things:
- Cross-border e-commerce private traffic — the point is a profile that matches Mainland buyers. Followers are the first impression of profile credibility; conversion itself happens in private channels, with no expectation of orders directly on IG.
- Hong Kong retail and travel retail — milestone events such as openings and new arrivals rely more on the immediate reaction of likes and comments. Follower count is the base, but whether the comment section feels like a conversation bears more directly on store visits and repeat purchases.
- Taiwan community marketing — engagement needs to back up localised content, and Simplified vs Traditional wording has to match. Geo targeting cannot stand in for whether the copy itself sounds natural.
What geo targeting can improve, and what it can't
| Signal problem | Geo targeting can improve | Geo targeting cannot fix |
|---|---|---|
| Profile audience doesn't match buyers in the target region | Brings the regional spread of followers and engagement closer to the target market | Whether the product fits the local market, pricing problems |
| Quiet engagement around local milestones (openings, new arrivals, launches) | Adds a stretch of regional engagement you can show | The campaign's own promotion rhythm, creative quality, or lack of channel exposure |
| Partners or creators' clients find no regional signal when vetting | Fills in regional engagement data for the media kit | Other things partners check when vetting an account (past content, registration details, etc.) |
| Content in the wrong language variant (Simplified, Traditional, Korean wording) | Cannot improve | The content itself needs adjusting; geo targeting does not replace copy |
Which line should I pick: a checklist
- Are your target buyers or partners mainly in Mainland China, Taiwan or Hong Kong? The three sub-scenarios differ, so match your case against "differences within one line" above when choosing a package.
- Is your target market Korea, and do you need to show partners or buyers that you have a Korean following? Pick the Korea line.
- Is your target market the US? This site has no USA line, so neither line fits; you will need a provider that supports US geo targeting.
- Is the block that the account doesn't look local, or is it the content, pricing or logistics? Geo targeting only solves the former; check the table above first.

FAQ
Can I buy both the Mainland China/Taiwan/Hong Kong line and the Korea line? Yes. If an account serves both markets (a China–Korea collab brand, for example), the two lines can be ordered separately; see the product pages for the package combinations available.
Taiwan and Hong Kong are in the same line — are the packages identical? They belong to the same broad geo line, but Taiwan community marketing and Hong Kong retail or travel retail want different things. Read the product page for its specific focus before ordering, and don't assume the two regions are the same.
What if I need a USA package? This site only runs the Mainland China/Taiwan/Hong Kong and Korea lines and has no USA packages. For US geo targeting you will need a provider that supports that line.
